The Menopause Guide
The menopause is a time in life that you may not know very much about and a sense of feeling low is common. You may feel lost and need a little extra guidance, which is why we have developed the menopause guide.
Acceptance
Menopause is a natural part of life. Accepting that you are entering a new phase in life can be difficult, but once you do, it will feel better and you will hopefully discover the benefits of this phase as well.
Personal
How you experience the menopause is personal and the difficulties can differ from person to person. Some women notice hardly any change, while others can feel very affected. Ask your friends or family members how they felt when they entered menopause.
Tell
Talk to your friends and partner about your thoughts and feelings. Your friends may be going through similar experiences and it is good for your partner to know what you are feeling, in order to be able to give you support.
New habits
This is also a time of life when you may discover new interests. You never stop developing and the menopause may be your time to find yourself all over again.
Excersice
Exercise can have a positive impact on the well being. It is also a good opportunity to socialize with friends and get out of the house, especially if you are feeling down. It is a good idea to strengthen your body with gentle exercise, because women can develop osteoporosis as a result of the menopause. Some women also experience that exercise ease hot flushes.
Recovery
It is important that you let your body recover. Allow yourself some rest if you feel tired after a walk. Listen to your body and don’t be too hard on yourself if you need to slow down a bit.
